Macrophages Isolation in Pig (Monocyte, Peritoneal, Alveolar and Bone-Marrow)

Protocol to collect and freeze macrophages from the four different compartments (peritoneum, lungs, blood, bone-marrow) from pigs.

PBMC are isolated from blood after Ficool separation. Bone-marrow cells are flushed out of the ribs. Peritoneal macrophages are isolated by peritoneal lavage with PBS. Lungs are collected and flushed in order to isolate alveolar macrophages.
