Macrophages are everywhere. They constitute 10-15% of the total cells in every organ in the body. This is a collection of images of macrophages, including immunocytochemical localisation of cells in tissue sections, in whole mounts of developing embryos and in transgenic animals expressing reporter genes from macrophage-restricted promoters. We also provide images of individual macrophages carrying out particular functions and localisation of particular proteins within them.

These images are proprietary, but may be downloaded and used for any non-commercial or educational purpose without permission provided that the source is acknowledged.
